Hi my name is Catherine I'm 14 years old I've been living in Canada Ontario my whole life I'm a true Canadian, in my free time I do skating in the winter and rugby and swimming in the summer. I have one sister one half brother one step brother a mom and a step dad sadly I lost my dad in 2009 I was 5 years old when he passed away. I do have dreams to join the army to help out others doing it for my dad I'm sure he will be proud of me doing that, then I'll move into the police force when I get older, I also want to do crazy things like hanging for the CN tower swim with sharks, go skydiving.
I'm a true Canadian because I go camping in all weather snow, rain, fall, spring, and summer my family and I reenact the war of 1812 also the Scottish event of 1745 it's when we do a weekend camping trip dress up in clothing for 1812 the guys go on the field and shoot guns and canons, I'm not old enough but in two years I get to go on field and shoot the canon I'm really looking forward for that! My family and I have been doing this for 9 years pretty much my whole life. My favourite part of going camping is meeting new people I can hang out with everyone that does reenactments are all friends we stay up do all hours of the night talking around the fire someone people just talk others sing all night long, what also is great about it is I learn new things about the history I did not know about than that would help me in history class!
Canada is known for our kind personalities every Canadian says “sorry” or “sorry about that” when it was not even our fault. There has been times when someone would bump into me and then I apologize even though I didn't do anything to them. Americans always say that we are kind that's right because we open doors for other people help out by cleaning around the town just very helpful, and saying sorry for things we have never did. Whenever I am in a big city everyone says “it's okay go ahead of me, or do you need help with that?” We like to think of it this way if we are kind to everyone else we can make friends easily or that everyone else with know that we are kind people.
Another reason why I think I'm a turn Canadian his because I do skating in the winter and rugby and swimming in the summer. When I play rugby all the other players say “sorry for tackling you” see we always say sorry even in sports. Last week I was playing a game the I bumped into one of my players I said “sorry I didn't mean to bump into to you” then she said to me “don't be sorry this is rugby let's go win!” So I guess I'm not allowed to say sorry in rugby because sometimes we are to kind do others. I think skating is a Canadian sport because a lot of people to skating, there has been a lot of fights of hockey is better or skating is better we still have never found out what one is better. I use to have dreams of becoming a skater but I have moved onto rugby and I want to work in the army and the police force. I am a true Canadian because of rugby camping and kind personalities, if you're not Canadian come visit Canada you will love it!
Industrial Robots/ Working Force
No I don’t agree with industrial robots but I do agree with some of the impacts, there are social, and economic impacts I will be talking about. The social impacts is that industrial robots is taking over a lot of the jobs that people usually have been doing since 1900’s or so. One example is robot bartenders you would think it’s bad because that’s one less person with a job but these robots can pour drinks a lot faster than humans. With robots you don’t have to pay them people on the other hand have to be paid weekly the owner of the bar would save a bit of money there because bots don’t have to be paid. The negative impact is that people lose their jobs to robots and can’t support themselves or have to find a new job because they got replaced by robots. You can just get a job in a day you have to give the owner a resume to see if they are right for the job, meaning it would take a couple weeks to be able to be in the work force again. The economic impacts are that people will lose their jobs not have money to pay their taxes food clothing a home, that means the government losing money for the working people that have lost their job to the robots. Here are just five jobs that are being taken away from industrial robots one of them is a cashier how cashiers are robots is when people use MasterPass at pizza hut with the cashier named Pepper. People can connect scanning a QR code on the tablet that the robot holds, that means that's one less person with a job and less money for the government. People are saying this "There is an 83% chance that workers who earn $20 an hour or less could have their jobs replaced by robots in the next five years. Those in the $40 an hour pay range face a 31% chance of having their jobs taken over by the machines." Overall, I kinda agree with industrial robots because there is good impacts but also some bad impacts of these.

NHL Scatter Plot
In this post we are leaning about how to use a scatter plot, in this one of the NHL I learned that the higher the wins are the lower the goals against but the higher the goals against are the lower the wins are.
By:Catherine Bill and Melinda Gates were the ones that helped out different places that need it. This group believes they can save lives by helping them out in places like Africa with food or water or anything to help the people with there health. Bill and Melinda work and help out in Africa, India, China, Europe. The impacts that these people have on each other is saving lives with giving food and water to the ones that need it, same thing with water. Also they give people drugs if they need it to help with a cold. It helps with diseases going around to other people, because they don't have the things to help them. A other foundation that helps out Africa is called Solar Sister its when the people help out the girls/woman with jobs schooling or any kind of support that they need. The Solar Sister helps the women out because most of them don't have the right kind of schooling or just need the support. There also is Education For All Children its when these people help out any kids that don't have the right type of schooling or just don't have schooling at all. Education For All Children have helped out more than 350 kids in Kenya Africa. They do this to help out the kids with a better further than other people or there family, to be able to have food water health care and a good home to have a family. There are many more fundraisers but these two poped out to me, its also makes me relived how thankful I am to have what I have. "Charity Organization List." Aid for Africa. N.p., n.d. Music Affects Moods
Does Music Affects My Mood By:Catherine Feb.11,2017
Yes music affects my mood, when it is different types of music. The reason why I said that music affects my mood is because if it is sad my mood will be sad or listen to sad music when I am not in the best mood. Like when my dad passed away I would listen to sad music because that is the mood i'm in. Also the music will make me feel the way the song is, so if I listen to happy music my mood will change.
The first song I would pick to me me feel good about myself would be Weak by Ajr it makes me feel good about myself and feel proud when i listen to it. In the song it says “but i'm weak, and what's wrong with that? Boy oh boy I love it when I fall for that” also “we, we fall for that wake up, we fall again”. This song makes me feel good being it pumps me up and I listen to it when I feel good or need to be in a good mood. The beat of the song makes me want to dance to the song. How this song chages my mood is because whenever I don't feel good about myself I put this song on do pump myself up and make myself feel better than before I turned the song on! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcJ0r06ldYE The second song I would pick would be Stay With Me by Sam Smith. This song makes me feel sad or when I am in a bad mood I will listen to it. In the song it says “oh, won’t you stay with me? Cause you’re all I need This ain’t love, it's clear to see but darling, stay with”. The song is a slower than the song Weak, that's the reason why it makes me feel sad when I listen to it. How this song makes me sad is when I am in a good mood and this song comes on and I want to cry because it puts me in a sad mood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB-5XG-DbAA The last song I would pick would be is Master by Metallica because that was my dad's and my song when I was 5 years old we would rock out to it. This song makes me feel really happy because it reminds me of my dad also it pumps my blood up ready to dance. I only like the older songs from them because they are better than the newer ones. Also my dad and I would listen to them all the time. How this song makes me feel good and want to dance is when it comes and and gets my blood pumping ready to dance and have a good time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W25ZklueUYk Overall I like all these songs because it changes my mood
Gold Rush Nov.22,2016
Before reading, what impact do you predict the discovery of gold had both socially, and economically?
1.Before I read the text what impact do I think would happen, I think that it would take forever to dig up the gold because it is in the ground. I think the economically impact would be that the people doing the work would get payed more than others or people would not get payed money or less money than what they should be getting. The socially impact would be not getting along with others in the town or the town not ok with it or that two types of people will fight over it.
Identify the groups of people that were affected by the discovery of gold and outline how these groups were affected differently from each other. (Who were the key people/parties involved?)
2.The people in the groups would be the First Nations also Chinese people were the one that found the gold rush. In the text it says “In August 1858 First Nations people and Chinese workers were doing very difficult dangerous work”. The key people digging up the gold would be the first nations people and chinese people because they were the ones that found it first.
In your opinion, after reading, what were the key, overall impacts of the discovery of gold in western Canada? (Summarize what you learned)
3.I have learned that the gold rush destroyed the history in the 1800’s I have also learned that the first nations people worked up there way on the Fraser River. The impacts would be if the workers can not find any gold they have to go back home or not able to see family. Also the First Nations people and the Chinese people would destroy anything that got in there way meaning that everything would be ruined.

Physical Environment Impacts Settlement
1. What are the physical challenges that settlers face when deciding on a new location? The are a bunch of physical challenges for the settlers but the mane one would be "will we be safe here". The reason why is is a challenge is because what if you sleeping at night and people come and attack you at night, so that`s why you should be somewhere away from other settlers. Then the next challenge settlers would be looking for water for drinking and cooking and bathing also to be able to travel to other places. I think the last one would be "can I farm here" because you need to be able to keep growing food and crops. 2. How can the physical environment help meet those challenges and give hope for a successful settlement? The physical environment can help with staying away from others so you would go to like the middle of no where or where no other settlers or so nothing happens to you. You can use the physical environment by using the tress for wood at night to keep warm and use wood to cook also use wood for building homes. 3. What is a lest one, real-life example of a successful settlement and why do you think it was successful? I think one real life example of successful settlement would be when we have homes everywhere and everyone is warm and under a house roof, also able to have stores to go by food and things that we need in every day life. And having schools to go to everyday to learn and have a good life when we get older. And able to go to work because everybody worked to that one job that you wanted.
